Today was the first day that I got to try out my new lens.  I got it a couple of weeks ago but shooting wildlife is a job for the Tamron 500 mm lens.  The lens is a Nikon 70-200 mm f2.8 VRII lens.  WOW!  That is the only word I can say for it.  Wickedly sharp and fast focusing.  It weighs 7 pounds and for a lens that’s heavy.  It is quite as  can be.  To say that this is my new favorite lens is an understatement.

So we got the call.  Ben and Angie were going out to dinner with Ben’s family and did we want to baby sit.  Jeanne said yes of course and so she went over at 5:30 pm to do her Grandma thing.  By the way she does it very well. 🙂

Yes his eyes are really that blue.  I did not enhance this image.  He has the bluest eyes I have ever seen.   I don’t have any pictures of Joshua smiling for this shoot as the only time he was smiling and laughing was when Grandpa was playing with him.  Seems that Grandpa hasn’t lost his skills either. 🙂
