Happy Sunday!
Last Wednesday I was in Central City for the grand opening of a new branch bank. We were taking a tour of the community when we happened by this old barn. My friends were kind enough to stop and let me take a few images of this wonderful structure.
Unfortunately we didn’t have the time nor the ability to explore and fully photograph this old barn but rest assured that I will visit it again this summer and attempt to do it justice.
This particular image looked great in color but in keeping with the theme of the day I rendered it in black and white. It is the street address of our new branch.
The branch is a wonderful old structure that was originally built as a bank and then has served many other functions during its life span including being a bar and a retail store. Now fittingly, it has been restored to its original purpose and dignity.
I couldn’t talk about this wonderful building without showing you an image of the building. Because it is on the historical record there were some things that could not be done to the building. However it was always our intent to preserve the original look and feel of the bank and still meet all the safety requirements.
That’s it for today. I have to go cut hay in my back yard. We lost one of the dogs out there yesterday. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by the blog. Enjoy your day, it looks like it might be a nice day weather wise. Be careful.
