Happy Monday!
Fun afternoon yesterday. Gabby’s gymnastics class had their presentation and we got to watch them go through their paces.
It was actually very interesting. There were three age groups all performing in different areas of the gym and so you could get an idea of the development by age group.
Gabby really enjoys gymnastics class and it shows in the effort she puts into it.
I was very impressed with her routine on the balance beam.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Sunday!
I can’t believe it’s been 15 days since I’ve posted a blog. I’ve been taking pictures but none that I can show on the blog. Some corporate head shots and fun snapshots of events.
Something I’ve wanted for a long time but just couldn’t make myself pull the trigger on arrived this past Thursday.
My friend Burt, who shoots a lot of eagles and wildlife images purchased one about 5 years ago and that is when I started thinking about one.
I purchased the Sigma 500mm f4.0 lens first because if was significantly less money. When it arrived I did some extensive shooting with it and many of the images were soft. They were static images and I was on a tripod but they were just soft.
So I sent it back and got the Nikon 500mm F4.0G ED VR AF-SWM Super Telephoto. I put it through the same test shots that I did the Sigma and not one soft image in the bunch. So it is a keeper. 🙂
This beast weighs in at 8.55 pounds so it needs to be on a tripod even though it has image stabilization.
Hope to be able to show you some images from this lens in the near future.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Sunday!
A short post today with only one image. Last Summer we had a really bad windstorm that cost us most of our trees in the back yard. We plan to plant new ones next Spring but as I was outside yesterday afternoon lamenting the loss of those trees the idea for this image formed in my mind.
The light was soft and beautiful and after some searching I found a full leaf on the ground. I placed it on top of one of the tree stumps. Symbolic of what once was a beautiful tree, standing mighty and tall.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
