Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was filled with some projects and repairs. I didn’t get to shoot any images Sunday but I’ve got some fun shoots scheduled over the next couple of weeks so hopefully I will have some worthy images for you soon.
Last Thursday I took a day vacation and went to Wyoming Golf Course with three great friends. We did this three years ago and had a wonderful time, didn’t get to do it last year and so we made a promise that we were going to do it this year.
The image above is of Steve Flynn. This is a lousy image as the sky was a bright gray and hard for the camera to find a focus point. I only include it because I wanted to get all the participants in the blog.
The above image was taken at Mick Clark’s Saw Shop near Maquoketa. Mick was the score keeper for the 14 holes we got in. Dave Johnson was disputing the scores and I had to capture this moment between two longtime friends. It was all in good nature but Dave’s memory is a big foggy when it comes to golf scores.
This is Mick and his wonderful bride Carol. Carol worked at the bank in Maquoketa for many years and was the teller supervisor. She and Mick have been married for a lot of years. I’d probably get it wrong if I guessed so I’m not going to. Mick told me he opened the Saw Shop 39 years ago and I believe he and Carol were married before that.
After the golf we played a marathon of Euchre. It was as an enjoyable time as I can remember having. The golf was just awful and I’m seriously considering putting my clubs away for the season. But the companionship, cards, and the level of insults were really outstanding. Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy your week and be careful.
