A quick post today. I came across this old crane at a construction site the other day and thought it would make an interesting image. I shot many different angles of the crane but since it was parked up against an old shed it didn’t really lend itself to a full frame shot.
As I was post processing today the problem I encountered was one of artistic impression. Does this image look better in color or in black and white? I like things about both images but could not make up my mind. I welcome your thoughts.
Enjoy your Friday. Thanks for stopping by and be careful.

I like the color in this photo. Gives it a real “Midwestern snapshot” feel.

Hard to make a fair judgement if an image is so small. The B&W looks a little flat to me and seems to have some halos in the upper part of the arm. But I’m not sure if this is due to the high compression and therefor loss of pixels. I go with Angie and choose the color version.

Dave, I like the texture of the black and white – can’t explain it, but just like it. As you can tell I am not camera literate – just know what I like.
