Happy Monday. It was a weekend filled with the memories of 09/11/01. Jeanne and I watched many hours of the stories and remembrances of that terrible day. Seeing images and hearing stories not shown before brought that day jolting back into my memory.
Saturday after spending what seemed like an inordinate amount of time on yard work I decided to have some fun so I put the Macro lens on the D700 and went out in the back yard to see what I could find. The above image is a leaf on one of the trees in our back yard. Obviously someone’s dinner.
I have to admit I do not know what this is. If I were to guess I would say it must be a cicada. I’m sure my friend Andreas would know but I just don’t study insects enough to know and fact is I’m too lazy to look it up on the internet.
I was amazed at all the stuff in my back yard. I’m sure I only saw about 05% of it but when one stops and looks it is just amazing what there is to see. I shot a lot of images and at some point I’ll share some of them but for right now these three will have to do.
Saturday was a beautiful day and I even enjoyed the yard work (which I usually do not.) The neighbors across the street were hosting a football party and there was lots of cheering and hollering going on most of the afternoon. All and all it was a very good day.
Thank you for stopping by the blog. Enjoy your week. Tomorrow I’ll post some images from the Fly in breakfast that my friend Jim and I attended yesterday. Be careful.
