Jeanne and I went on a photo drive yesterday afternoon. It was a beautiful day with bright blue sky, some wispy clouds and a perfect 70 degrees. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The other choice I had was mowing the grass and raking the leaves. Which one to choose. Let me think. 🙂
I really like this image with the reflection of the three trees in the creek. I’ve tried to photograph this little stream before and have never been happy with the results. Yesterday the water was calm and the reflection was just right.
We drove up to Balltown to look at the Fall colors.  Two short weeks ago the colors were magnificent. Now they are almost non-existent. Many of the trees have lost their leaves and those that have not are a very dull brown.
We took a side road just South of Balltown that neither of us had been on before. The sign said to Finley’s landing area. There is a little park and boat launch area at the end of the road. I liked this shot of the railroad bridge going over the water.
One of the many back roads we were on, we saw a bunch of wild turkeys. I stopped the car and got out and as soon as I did they all took to the air. No walking away slowly, just jump in the air and fly away. Reminded us both of the old TV show “WKRP in Cincinnati” where Mr. Carlson says to Les, “I’ll swear as God is my witness I thought turkeys could fly.” 🙂   If you have seen the show you’ll know what I’m talking about and if you haven’t then it would take too long to explain it.
Just down the road a bit from the flying turkeys was this old corn bin. I liked the way it was situated and the horse beside it. It was an enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Finished it off with a Blizzard from DQ.
Enjoy your Monday. Thanks for stopping by and be careful.

Ohhhh, I really like that first picture – the reflecitons are perfect. Probably can’t get that kind of photo often. Of course I like the corncrib – makes me homesick for the farm I grew up on.

Very familiar places where I drive around quite often in search for a good click. I like the image of the river. Good job Dave!
