I’ll show you a couple of images from Sunday’s Photo Shoot and then I have an announcement at the end of today’s post. This magnificent old barn is another barn that is located well within the city limits of Dubuque. Although it has had a new roof in the last decade the rest of the barn is all original from its construction time.
Jeanne has wanted me to photograph this old barn for sometime but just never seem to get around to it. So Sunday we pulled onto the property and I went up to the house to ask permission to shoot the barn. No one was home so I started taking images.
It wasn’t long before the Tenant showed up. Nice young man who was happy to let me photograph the barn once I identified myself and what I was up to. 🙂
On our travels near Holy Cross we came across this field that was partially harvested with these two grain wagons sitting there waiting to be filled. It would have been a better image with a combine in the picture but you have to take what is offered.
I shot a lot of images on Sunday but the light was high and harsh. I’m not thrilled with most of what I got. There are a few more I’ll show you tomorrow but I want to get to my announcement.
This is the project that I had mentioned earlier. This is a new Mexican Restaurant that is now open in Maquoketa. It has been open for several weeks now and is doing very well. La Casa De Pancho (The House Of Pancho.)
Because I love Mexican food I have gotten to know some of the staff and the owner of the restaurant. They wanted a website and photos of their business. I made them an offer and yesterday they accepted the offer.
Now I have a huge challenge in front of me. To build a quality website and populated it with quality images of their restaurant and their business. The website is http://www.lacasadepancho.com if you want to follow the progress.
Saturday I have booked the whole day for photography. I’ll be doing some HDR images of the interior and some product photography for their menu selection. Should be a fun day.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your Tuesday and be careful.
