I have been there and even the most successful photographers write about how they overcome a creative hole or how they give their creativity a boost (for example Scott Bourne in his blog Photofocus http://photofocus.com/2012/03/11/idea-connection-a-most-under-rated-way-to-improve-photographic-creativity/ ). I guess what works is different for each of us. For me it is going to a new place or a place where I haven’t been in a long time, not necessarily a nature area, and spend time there. I mean, not just 30 minutes, I’m talking about several hours or even a whole weekend. Focussing on a total different subject for a while, like for example architecture, helps me to come back full of energy for my next wildlife or landscape project. Hang in there Dave, I’m sure you will produce many good images this year!
