Good Day. Happy middle of the week. I hope your week is going well so far. Last week Angie and Ben went to visit friends that just had a baby. Since Josh was just getting over a virus they left him with us for an hour while they visited their friends.
This is the fun part of being a grand parent. We packed more fun in that short hour then we could have had in a half day. Jeanne had purchased a swing this Spring and this was the first time he got to try it out. He wasn’t too sure at first but each time we would pull him a little higher and then he would laugh and ask for more.
It was a wonderful evening with mild temperatures and a light breeze. There were some kids playing on the other side of this fence and Josh was very interested in them. Jeanne asked him if he wanted to go see the other kids. He did not but spent a lot of time at the fence watching them play.
Our yard is a lot different than the yard he has at home so he spent a fair amount of time running around looking at everything. We would have stayed out longer but he kept heading back to the house. He would point at the puppies who were watching from the patio door and head for them.
Our back yard is like a big bowl and it was an effort for Josh to make it up the hill. He would go a little way, stop to collect his balance then push ahead. Jeanne was always right there to steady him if he faltered. He could navigate down the hill in good fashion and Jeanne had to move pretty quickly to keep up with him. Of course you know where I was so I was useless if he fell down. 🙂
We ended up back inside to play with toys and then he was gone home with his parents. Yep this grand-parenting thing is just okay. 🙂
Enjoy your Wednesday. Thanks for stopping by and be careful.
