Good day and happy Tuesday. Back at it today, but I sure enjoyed the four-day weekend. I could get very use to that. We got our new humming-bird feeder set up in the back yard yesterday morning and actually had some (at least one) visitor already. Check out my 365 project for the evidence.
Even though the weather was cool, damp and threatening rain we decided to go downtown and see the traditional Memorial Day parade. It was much smaller this year because of the weather. I suspect many entries pulled out because of the predicted showers.
Going to a parade or actually anything for that matter is so much fun with Joshua. The discovery through his eyes is refreshing and brings about an excitement to ordinary things. Sunday I read a book to him about fire trucks and policemen and he was very excited to see the fire trucks and the police cars.
Of course one of the things that all kids love about parades anymore is the free candy they receive. I don’t remember getting candy at parades when I was a kid but now it is S.O.P. It started raining about half way through the parade and many people packed up and left. We stayed to the end as we didn’t want to disappoint Josh.
Gabby was safely ensconced in her car seat and protected from the environment. She slept through the entire parade. 🙂 Her day will come when she, like Joshua will be standing by the curb anxiously waiting for the arrival of the parade.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your Tuesday and please be careful.
