Happy Monday!
I take a break from eagles today as I have images from our photo drive yesterday. Jeanne and I went on a photo drive yesterday afternoon around 3:00 p.m. It was a little warmer (a balmy -1) and the light was soft and orange. I was hoping to catch some wildlife in the harsh weather conditions. We drove a total of 67 miles to some of our favorite places but couldn’t find any wildlife to photograph. They were all hunkered down trying to endure the bitter cold temperatures.
So toward the end of our journey we came across these horses walking toward a barn and some hay. They were spread out when I stopped the car but as I started making images they actually grouped up and posed for me. 🙂
We came up over a hill, that we had driven on 20 minutes earlier, and found this heard of doe feeding in a harvested field of corn stalks. They didn’t offer to run as I’m sure they were hungry enough they didn’t want to leave what little food they had. We were far enough away that they probably didn’t sense any real danger from us. There were a lot more deer in the heard just couldn’t fit them all in the frame.
I know, it’s a common cow. Well this was taken before the horses. I told Jeanne I wasn’t going home with an empty card so I snapped an image of this cow in the field. It was shortly after that we saw the horses. 🙂
That’s it for today. Probably more eagle images tomorrow if I don’t find anything worthy today.
Thanks for stopping by the blog. Enjoy your day. Stay warm and be careful.
