Happy Thursday!
Yesterday I went down to the Mill Work District (MWD) looking for things to photograph. I have taken many images at the MWD but always seem to fine new things to explore.
When we first moved to Dubuque in the 70s the MWD was mostly abandoned buildings that had been occupied by light industrial businesses. They sat empty and decaying for a long time. Then as so often happens a couple of men with a vision of what could be bought up many of the buildings and turned them into upscale offices, eateries, and apartments.
Now the MWD is THE destination place for a lot of the younger people for the craft breweries, restaurants, and fitness centers. Even one of the News Channels has an office there.
As you will notice in some the images there are ominous clouds building. I had just washed my truck and I thought, as I took my last image, I think I can make it home before the rain comes. I was wrong.
Hope you enjoyed the trip to the Mill Work District, though my lens. Enjoy your day and be careful.
