Welcome

I’ve been wanting to photograph a Blue Heron for some time now.  I’ve seen several but haven’t been able to make an image.

So yesterday Jeanne and I went out for a drive.  I always carry my camera with me so we ended up at the 16th street basin.  This area has really changed over the years and there use to be lots of wildlife in and around the basin.

Then the city cut down all the wonderful trees down and put in a solar farm.  For the most part the wildlife left.  Occasionally you can find a good there but it’s been a long time since I found a heron.

So I was surprised and happy to find not only a heron but two of them.  I was also surprised that I was able to photograph them before they got spooked and took off.Enjoy your day and be careful.
