Welcome

I have driven past this old barn for many years and I could only see it from a distance.  Last week I decided that I had the time and was in the area so I drove up the back roads to the location of the barn.

I couldn’t get to the other side of this barn but it was obviously in a bad shape.  I stopped at a house near the barn to ask permission to photograph but the lady said that she just rented the house from the owner of the barn and didn’t think he would mind.

I could get to the other side of this barn and as you can see it is only a matter of time before it falls down as well.  I’m thinking a strong wind storm would bring it down.  However after saying that it has withstood many storms in its life time.

I couldn’t pass up photographing this old (use to be) windmill.
