Happy Saturday!
Early yesterday morning I drove down to Maquoketa because some of my friends had asked if I would photograph and video a special event they were doing first thing. I was happy to do so and after the event I was on my way out-of-town when I saw this beauty parked by the post office.
It is a 1951 Dodge Coronet with GYPO Matic drive (what ever that means.) I couldn’t just pass a beauty like this up so I spent a half an hour photographing it from a variety of angles. The sun was behind some clouds so I didn’t get a lot of hot spots. It was fun to photograph this old beauty.
After photographing this Dodge I headed out-of-town but found some activity at the “Duck Pond” so ripped off a few images from there. Then back to the highway for the ride home.
As much fun as I had on Thursday photographing the Crop Duster I found another one spraying a field of corn. So I pulled on the side of the road (not my favorite position) and spent about 20 minutes with him. When he was finished he actually gave me a wing wave. 🙂
So I got home and spent the rest of the afternoon working on images and video. I enjoy the processing almost as much as the actual taking of the images.
I hope you enjoyed a look at this rare old Dodge. For the condition its in its in pretty remarkable condition. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by the blog. Enjoy your weekend and be careful.
