Happy Sunday!
This is my favorite tree to photograph. I actually was a little ahead of schedule Friday on my way to work and there were God beams coming through the clouds so I decided to go photograph my tree. Fortunately I still made it to my meeting on time.
Friday was an exceptionally busy day with meetings and working on Federal reports that have to be out the door by the end of September.
However at 11:00 a.m. one of my co-employees suggested we take time and walk across the street to see the Governor who was going to make a speech at the Decker Hotel. I’ve met Governor Branstad before (well at least I’ve been in the same room as he was) and shook his hand but since I don’t get to personally meet many people of notoriety I thought it was worth while to go see him.
Besides compared to where the state was when he took office and where it is today I’d have to say he has done a very good job.
Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds was also at the speech and I had never met her before. She is a good public speaker and I always enjoy listening to someone who has a good presentation.
So I got my political shot for the day and then it was back to meetings and paperwork. 🙂
That’s it for today. Hope you enjoy your Sunday and as always thank you for stopping by the blog. I appreciate your support. Be careful.
