Happy Sunday!
Angie and the kids came over for a visit and lunch yesterday. I wanted to try out a new light source and the best subject I could think of was Addie.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Saturday!
This retirement gig is alright. I had lunch yesterday with a friend that twenty-five years ago I hire right out of college to work for my company. She did a wonderful job and is now the head of HR for one of the largest employers in Dubuque. I’m so proud of her.
Then yesterday afternoon Angie invited me to the “Community Involvement” at Josh’s school, for a monthly program they have. His class was doing the presenting and also had people from the community who had a small part in the presentation. It was wonderful.
Finally I got to go with Angie to pick up Gabby and Austin at their day care at Mercy Hospital. That was a real treat as well.
Very fun day and I got to spend it with my beautiful daughter and my littlest girl friend. 🙂
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Monday!
Fun afternoon yesterday. Gabby’s gymnastics class had their presentation and we got to watch them go through their paces.
It was actually very interesting. There were three age groups all performing in different areas of the gym and so you could get an idea of the development by age group.
Gabby really enjoys gymnastics class and it shows in the effort she puts into it.
I was very impressed with her routine on the balance beam.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Sunday!
Yesterday, we celebrated the seventh birthday of Joshua. Angie and Ben hosted a light lunch and birthday celebration for the grand parents and uncles.
Josh is really into Star Wars and most of his gifts revolved around that theme. He is very good at taking complex Lego® projects designed for 8 – 12-year-old children and completing them in quick fashion.
Gabby consoled herself that this was Josh’s day and so she watched attentively while he opened and awed at each of his presents. 🙂
Austin found other ways to amuse himself with all the balloons. He would pull them down from the ceiling and then let them go. He had a great time doing this while Josh was opening his presents.
Happy Monday!
Got to spend some quality time with the Grand Children this past Saturday so I have four images (4 kids) today. We went over to the large play ground near our home after lunch and the kids blew off a lot of energy playing. I of course needed a nap after they went home. Austin and I played on this teeter-totter and he got a big kick out of it.
Gabby is into gymnastics and so she is always practicing her moves. The playground equipment really lets the children extend themselves as much or as little as they want to.
Josh is really getting into photography so I gave him this tripod. I purchased it two years ago when I was going on a photography trip and it was light enough to carry. To light for my equipment but perfect for the little Nikon Coolpix camera that Josh has. He is learning what most of us want to be photographers have already learned, most people don’t like to have their picture taken. 🙂
I have several images of Addie, but this is her normal pose right now. Sweet little baby but she sleeps a lot.
Back to the clinic this morning for more tests and lab work.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Saturday!
Yesterday I got to spend some quality time with my daughter and my newest grand-daughter Addie. It was wonderful talking with Angie and watching the facial contortions of Addie as she slept.
This is the only image out of 35 that she opened her eyes. 🙂
The occasional “coo” scrunched up face was fun to hear and see.
The miracle of newborn life is a wonder to experience.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Saturday!
Addie J. Roling joined our family at 2:07 p.m. August, 25, 2017. Mother, Father, and children are all doing well!
Mark came up from Kansas City to be there for the birth. He has made every one of the kids’ birth day.
The rest of the family got to meet Addie around 4:30 p.m. Josh had a cold hence the mask. You can see the rest of the family was more interested in a movie on the iPhone. 🙂
Gabby claims Addie is her sister and she just wants to hold her.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Monday!
I have four images for you today. Mark came home yesterday just long enough to spend an hour with Gabby on her birthday and then he had to get back. This is his new ride. He could have his pick of a lot of different cars but this is his dream car.
I am so blessed to have these two in my life.
So yesterday we stopped over with some gifts for Gabby. Her real party with her friends is next week but we couldn’t let the day go without seeing her and wishing her happy birthday.
This is her new ride. She got the hang of it pretty quickly and was driving like a pro in no time. This was the only thing she wanted for her birthday and Angie said the look on her face was priceless when she saw it.
Austin, not to be out done climbed on Josh’s old tricycle and used his foot power to follow Gabby. There were several close calls with the two of them being in the same place at the same time but they never collided. 🙂
Gabby gave Josh a ride in her new vehicle. Typical man, he started right away doing back (front seat) driving and it wasn’t long till he was asked to get out. 🙂
The time we spent with them was short but jam-packed with fun and energy.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
Happy Snowy Monday!
Lots of snow in our part of the world today. Lucky that I am off and don’t have to get out in it. I have three images for you today.
We were invited to Angie and Ben’s home for dinner yesterday evening, which is always a treat. It’s so much fun to see the grand kids and to be with Angie and Ben.
Ben took this rare image of me. Rare because I’m usually not in front of the camera. My little buddy loves his Papa and I really treasure the time I get to spend with him.
It’s so enjoyable to watch the interaction of Angie and her children.
That’s all I have for today. Stay safe, enjoy your day, and be careful.
Happy Monday!
I have three images for you today. I shot these last Friday night at Asbury’s annual Halloween Parade. Ben had to work so Angie brought the kids over for dinner and then we went over to the parade route.
We had to wait for what seemed like a long time but finally saw all the flashing lights and heard the sirens (boy did we hear the sirens) from all the emergency vehicles. I think every emergency vehicle Asbury owns was in that parade. 🙂
Josh and Gabby made out pretty good from all the free candy the parade walkers threw and handed out. Austin didn’t understand all the fuss but he wanted to be in the middle of it.
That’s it for today. Enjoy your day and be careful.
