Happy Thursday! ~ 253
Back to work yesterday although not hitting on all 8 cylinders but made it through the day. Since it was an unscheduled day off I had to do Tuesday’s stuff as well as Wednesday’s work but I was able to get most of it done.
I didn’t have any lunch plans yesterday so I took my camera out to see what I could find. It was the wrong time of the day and I had the wrong lens for shooting flowers but that’s what caught my eye so that’s what you get today. I love to shoot flowers but have been so engaged with bird photography of late that I haven’t paid much attention to the beauty they offer.
I was looking for other things, which is why I took the 80 – 400 mm lens with me (which does not work well with flowers.) There were some geese at the Duck Pond and I did make some images of them, which may or may not make the blog. Although it is full of water the Duck Pond has very little wildlife at it now. The Swans come from time to time and there are a few geese there but not the constant stream of birds as in past summers. 😦
So after driving around and looking for things I came back to town by way of the Hurstville Kilns. A couple of weeks ago I photographed the flowers there and they were pretty close to being overwhelmed by the flooding. I’m happy to report that the little park has been cleaned up and the flowers seem to be doing just fine.
That’s it for today. I have another busy day and have to go to Cedar Rapids for a meeting. Thanks as always for stopping by the blog. Hope you enjoy your day and be careful.
