Good Sunday To You! ~ 250
Interestingly enough, I had a totally different group of images to show you and stories to tell this day. That was before I went out early this morning to grab an image for my Bird Feeder Project in the soft morning light and had the opportunity to photograph this little guy. He has been in and around our yard for years, darting in and our of our shrubs. I’m on a year long quest to tear out all the shrubs and replace them and so he has been displaced more or less.
One day, a few weeks ago, I saw him under a bird feeder and was glad to see him again. He’s normally just to fast and jerky to photograph, but since he has starting eating the dropped seeds from the bird feeders he seems less skittish. Still hard to capture though.
Yes I know that lots of people think they are a terrible nuisance and would just as soon see them eliminated. I enjoy all of God’s creatures (with the exception of snakes.) I have an unnatural and unhealthy fear of snakes stemming from an incident that happened in my childhood. Just haven’t been able to get beyond it so I give them wide birth. You want to see an old fat man run fast a record breaking 100 yard dash, just let me see a snake. 🙂
This has been a difficult work week and it carried over into the weekend. So it was nice break from serious thinking to watching the antics of this little guy romping through the back yard this morning. His every move is at blink speed so it is really difficult to capture a sharp image of him.
I have to give credit to the Tamron 150 – 600 mm lens. For the things I use it for it has proven to be my favorite lens. When you consider how affordable it is and what it does, it’s just a great lens.
One of the neat things this blog has done for me is to allow me to reconnect with some of my lifelong friends from my home town.
It is such a delight to correspond with them on a regular basis, to find out what’s going on in their lives and occasionally take a stroll with them down memory lane.
Such wonderful, solid individuals that had and continue to have a strong influence on my life. I know there is a lot of criticism about social media but there are some things that are simply wonderful and would be otherwise impossible to have without it.
Well I’d better stop there before I get all sappy and misty eyed.
Thank you as always for stopping by the blog, I hope it is worth you investment of time.
Enjoy your day and be careful.
