Happy Saturday! ~ 230
Joshua, who is a little over 3 and a half years old, wanted Grandma and Grandpa to come see him jump off the diving board at the pool. So after spending half a day working on getting some necessary work done for my company, we headed over to the pool around 5:00 p.m.
I didn’t have a very good day health wise yesterday. I was feeling weak and unsteady. I took a long nap in the afternoon and felt a little better. Two things that have made themselves known as a result of my disease, is the fact that when my body needs food it tells me in no uncertain terms. My right eye is very blurry and “foggy.” Annoying but according to the research we did, it is a temporary occurrence until my levels equal out.
Okay, enough about that. This was my first time at the Dubuque Golf and Country Club in many years. They use to have just a typical rectangle pool and a kiddie pool. Now it is like a water park with all kinds of toys for both children and adult to enjoy the water with. Lots of sunbathing room and even dinning by the pool. I was very impressed.
So first Josh showed us his jumping ability (the first image), it wasn’t long before he tried a dive (above), now he may not be ready for the Olympic diving team but this isn’t bad form. 🙂
Unfortunately on his second dive he is coming in for a pancake landing. The image with Angie’s head eerily in the lower right is not technically good frame management but you can see by her gritting her teeth that she knows it’s going to hurt.
The splash tells the story, lots of water and obviously not a clean entry into the water. 🙂
We had a lot of fun in the few minutes we were at the pool. I ripped off 500 shots with the D4, which in such an amazing camera and still manages to impress me every time I use it.
It wasn’t long though before my need for food outweighed my need to photograph Josh.
That’s it for today. Hope you enjoy your Saturday. Thanks for stopping by and be careful.
Nice shots Dave! He’s got his fathers form… So proud of my big boy!
