Happy Monday!
Saturday we did our annual pilgrimage to Galena to do some shopping and photography with our great friends Steve and Becki. The weather was crappy with mist and fog.
Normally I will take between 100 – 200 images when we’re in Galena but Saturday I only shot about 20 images. The lighting was just so bad and I just didn’t see much that sparked my interest.
Our favorite restaurant Benjamins is closed. We read about it on Saturday morning in the paper. It has been open for 30 years and now is closed. Atomic Toy Company (also one of our favorite stores to visit) is closing in January.
So we had a nice lunch at the De Soto House. I must have eaten something that didn’t agree with me though, because I had an up set stomach a couple of hours later.
Because of the foggy weather, the hour-long drive, and my uneasy stomach we decided to not travel to our second company Christmas party Saturday night. Hate to miss a gathering but probably the smart thing to do.
Looks like more of the same kind of weather for the first part of the week anyway. Better than sub-zero temperatures and snow so I’m not complaining.
Hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by the blog and be careful.
