Happy Friday!

One of the many things I love about digital photography is all the creative freedom it affords.  I shot this image of the De Soto hotel in Galena last week and was playing around with a new filter for Photoshop that rendered the above result.  Some may like it while others not so much.

The black and white rendition.  I was going to try my retro look with the black and white but then decided it wouldn’t look right with the modern vehicles in the image and I didn’t have the time required to remove them.  Which is another thing I love about digital photography.  🙂

Finally the image as it more or less looked out of the camera.  I did sharpen the image to bring out more detail.  Since I shot this with the Nikon D810 with its 36.5 megapixel sensor there is a lot of detail that can be brought out.
