Happy Saturday!
I actually intended to post this blog yesterday (Friday) but when I sat down to write it I discovered that my internet connection was down. What to do without the internet?
I have avoided for a long time (too long to mention) cleaning my home office. I’m not a hoarder but perhaps a distant cousin of one. The first thing you should know is that my office is very small. It is only a 9 x 11 foot room so how big of a job could it be?
Well I’ll tell you. I started at 7:15 a.m. and finally finished at 3:42 p.m. only stopping 20 minutes for lunch. I took out 4 huge (lawn sized) garbage bags of “stuff” plus a lot of clothes that are so far out of style I couldn’t even wear them to a retro party, not that I get invited to many parties. Yes I have to share my office with a closet as well.
Anyway by the time I put things back in some semblance of order and blocked out the invading thoughts that I’m going to need almost everything I threw away, I looked at my office and honestly could not tell I had done one thing. I was concerned that Jeanne would think I hadn’t done anything to my office but she had early dismissal yesterday because of the heat so she saw the state of my chaos.
Enough about cleaning, now about the images. I had a wonderful day Thursday with many positive and uplifting experiences. I left work about 6:30 p.m. and as I turned onto 61 highway I noticed 3 distinct mushroom looking clouds separated by a fair amount of distance between them. They were enormously high and ominous looking.
I wanted to get somewhere that had a reasonably interesting foreground so I could capture the uniqueness of those clouds. In the short amount of time I spent looking for the proper setting the clouds grew and began to merge into what I suspect was a good-sized storm somewhere in the Eastern part of the country.
There is a saying in photography that when you have captured the image you’re interested in turn around and you may find something as or more interesting to shoot behind you. Such was the case as I was walking back to my car. 🙂
That’s it for today. Another hot and humid day in our part of the country. Hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by the blog and be careful.
