Happy Sunday!
I have three images for you today. I tell you how many images I have because many people see my post on Face Book and some do not realize that to see all the images they have to click on the link and actually go to my blog. So just a reminder for my wonderful Face Book friends.
Also remember you can click on the image to see a larger more detailed version of the image.
This is truly a face that only a mother could love. I had stopped to photograph a stream I found interesting and as I was walking back to the car the sky was full of Turkey Vultures. I don’t normally photograph them but there were so many and some of them like this guy were pretty close.
Talk about standing room only. I was at Mud Lake photographing a Blue Heron last week and then took some general landscape photos for my files. Sitting back in the car I enlarged them and that is when I saw these guys. So I put the long lens on the camera and photographed this group. Now that I was aware of the turtles I discovered there were turtles on all almost every projection that was above the water line. Apparently it was a great day for sunning.
Finally I’ll leave you with this image of what I believe to be a common Muskrat. I have never been this close to one. Usually when they see me they go under water and swim far away. I don’t know if that is their tendency or it’s just personal with me. 🙂
Anyway this guy paid no attention to me and I was able to slowly get closer to him. The focal length on this shot was only about 300 mm. He was busy with a project and wasn’t going to be deterred by my presence.
That’s it for today. Lousy weather for the last few days not conducive to outdoor photography so I haven’t captured any images of late. Hope that changes tomorrow. Luckily the rain although persistent has not be in large amounts.
Thanks for stopping by the blog. Enjoy your day and be careful.
