Happy Monday!
Fun day yesterday. Jeanne and I along with Angie, Ben, and the grand kids attended the annual fly in breakfast at Dubuque Regional Airport. We didn’t get there until 10:00 a.m. so some of the older war birds had already departed. Still it was fun to see the kids. Their eyes get so big when they see the airplanes up close. I took Gabby to sit in the Mercy helicopter. She kept saying “Mercy helicopter” and I said no Gabby it’s the UI helicopter, (because it said University of Iowa on the side and several other places.) We went back and forth about it and when we got back in line for breakfast I was telling Angie about our conversation about the helicopter. She just looked at me and said, “Dad it is the Mercy helicopter.” We lease it from the University. I apologized to Gabby. 🙂
The first two images were taken at the breakfast table inside the hanger at the airport. Lighting and background were terrible but the subjects were beautiful and perfect.
Later in the day I played golf at Thunder Hills in the inaugural “Bob Rudzinski Memorial Golf Outing.” A lot of his friends and golfing buddies showed up to play golf and then we had dinner to celebrate the memories of our departed friend. His twin sons, Nick and Tim were there as well and after dinner we shared our favorite stories about our friend Bob.
The Butterfly? I couldn’t get him to open his wings for me but I can’t pass up a chance to photograph a Monarch even if they don’t cooperate. 🙂
That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by the blog. Enjoy your day and be careful.
