Happy New Year!
I had lunch with a very close friend yesterday and he was concerned that I hadn’t blogged for awhile. I apologized to him and now to you for the lack of activity. This is a tough time of the year to shoot photographs (for me anyway.) I never have time in the morning on the way to work (and most days I see three or more things I’d like to shoot.) Then it’s dark when I leave the office so overall there is just a narrow window available for photography.
Then it is the time of year. I always have some challenges this time of year especially around the Holidays. I seem to get in a funk and I think about all the family members on my side that have passed and I get weary. I always seem to climb out of my funk and get back on track so no need to think I won’t this year as well.
I was reviewing 2013 from a photographic standpoint. What a neat way to remember the year. Since I usually take at least a few images every week and sometimes every day, it took a while to look at them all. I kept 12,533 images from 2013. I have no idea how many I shot during the year. Since the D4 can rip off 11-12 fps it doesn’t take long to rack up some pretty big numbers. More than once I’ve come home with 700 or more images on my card only to end up with 20 keepers.
I took the image above this morning, out our back door in the snow. It’s still snowing (lightly) and we are supposed to get another 4 inches. I will get out today and shoot some snowy stuff. 🙂
Thanks for sticking with me. I’ll get back up to speed soon enough. Enjoy your day and be careful.
