Happy Saturday! 

I’ve photographed the Hurstville Dam and posted it here on the blog several times before.  I’m always amazed however to see moving water freeze solid.  I understand how it happens but it never ceases to amaze me when I see it.

I went to lunch with a couple of friends from work yesterday and we opted to walk the three blocks to the restaurant.  That turned out to be a poor decision as the wind chill was harsh and the sidewalks were slick with frozen snow.  We made it without incident but the exposed parts (face and ears) were burning by the time we got there.  Then of course there is always the walk back.

Much more cold weather in store for us in the coming days.  I’m going to run down to the Lock and Dam this morning to see if there are eagles flying.  I haven’t been to the river since it froze over.
