Happy Monday: ~ 249
I had no intention of taking images this morning when I went out to get the paper at 5:00 a.m. But as I was walking back to the house I saw this beautiful moon and thought I have to make an image of that.
I made the image with the Nikon D600 | Tamron 150 – 600 mm lens | ISO 400 (just because that is what I keep it set for when I’m shooting images of birds) | 1/160 of a sec @ f9.0. I used the gimbal tripod because it is set up ready to go and I keep it by the patio door. Shooting a stationary object like the moon is best done with a ball head on the tripod. I locked it down as best I could and shot away. Click on any image to make it larger.
Wonderful day yesterday filled with yard work, napping, photographing birds, and grand kids. Throw in a DQ Oreo Blizzard and you have a “wonderful day.”
There are so many people who do not understand the concept of civility. We drove down to the river yesterday afternoon and as is my habit I was looking for things to shoot. I looked at the road and realized I was getting a little close to a young couple that was walking towards us (never even got close enough to cause them any harm.) I realized my position and steered away a good 30 feet from them. I waved at them in an apologetic gesture and they both flipped me off. I just don’t get that attitude.
I love this image of Jeanne and Gabby. It is amazing how all children gravitate to her. Truly God put her and people like her here to watch over the little children.
We called the kids and asked if we could stop by for a short visit and to see Josh and Gabby. We were there for about 30 minutes. Josh has mastered his new bike and was happy to show it off. That is until Gabby got on her little tricycle and then of course Josh had to go find his tricycle. 🙂
All and all a great day. But now I have to come back to the reality of the day and get back at it.
Thank you for stopping by the blog. I hope you enjoy your Monday. Be careful.
