Happy Friday!
I think you’ll have to admit I haven’t shown any birds for sometime now so that is what I have for you today. It seems like forever since I was able to sit out on the patio and capture images of our little feathered friends. Of course I wasn’t able to do that until after thoroughly cleaning all the bird poop off the patio first. They are filthy creatures to be sure. They even poop in their own water. 🙂
I had an appointment with my eye doctor yesterday to follow-up on the fogginess in my eye. They took an x-ray of my retina, which was amazing to me. I actually got to see the x-ray after the process.
They wanted to be sure there wasn’t anything going on there. The good news is that I have healthy eyes that have not been affected by the diabetes. However I do have a cataract that needs to be removed so I see the ophthalmologist in a couple of weeks to get that taken care of.
I got home from the clinic around 5:00 p.m. so Jeanne and I went for a nice walk before dinner. Now that the days are getting shorter it gets harder to get the walks in as I usually do not get home until 6:30 p.m. or later. So I have to use the treadmill, which is not as enjoyable as walking with my bride. 🙂
I had to say good-bye to a friend yesterday. She is one of those people who just makes the world brighter with her smile and personality. She is such an outgoing friendly person and I will truly miss seeing her on a regular basis. On the other hand I’m happy for her as she is opening her own business in Maquoketa and I wish her every success. So good luck Amy and I hope your dreams come true.
That’s it for today. Thank you for tolerating the birds. I won’t show anymore unless I’m desperate. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by the blog. I hope you enjoy your Friday and as always please be careful.
