Happy Saturday!
Just one image for you today. This eagle capture was made last Saturday when Andreas and I were in Sabula. We were leaving the area and I was following Andreas (who was a fair distance ahead of me) when this guy landed in a tree next to the water just ahead of me. I slowly moved my car forward and when I got pretty close I leaned out the door with one foot on the break and ripped off a burst before he flew away.
I did not realize until this morning in processing the image (click on the image to make it larger) that he has an identification band on his right leg. I would have preferred if that one branch was not there but it would have taken a lot of work to Photoshop it out of the image and then I’m not sure how good it would have looked.
