Happy Wednesday!
The light was harsh and not a cloud in the sky on the way home last evening so I have more shots from the Dubuque Arboretum taken on Monday. I thought I only got one image worth while of a Monarch Butterfly. Turns out after looking through the photo shoot last night, I got lucky several times.
So I have four images to share with you today. I have mentioned before my love of photographing flowers. Hopefully after viewing today’s offering you can understand why I feel that way.
On another note, I have spent a significant amount of my life studying and trying to understand human nature. Since I make my living working in Human Resources that would seem to be a worthwhile and useful endeavor. I can tell you however that it is a practice in futility. For example, I understand that if you want to make a good image from an exposure stand point there are three things that you must do proportionally. You must use the proper shutter speed, the proper aperture, and the proper ISO. Get all those correct and you have a well exposed image. Perhaps not interesting but well exposed.
Not so absolute with human beings. There is no routine formula that seems to work with humans. And just when I think I have things figured out I am proven wrong. I guess that’s what keeps me coming back each day. 🙂
So what’s the point? I’m not sure. Nothing is routine and seldom predictable when it comes to human nature. But just like photography you take the principles you’ve learned over the years and apply them whenever possible and hopefully come up with a good exposure from time to time. 🙂
That’s it for today.
Thanks for stopping by the blog. Enjoy your day. Stay dry and be careful.
